Unite with the Lord God

In the Lord Jesus, by the Holy Spirit,

This is to know the fullness of joy

In this blessed, most precious union of love.

A union of holiness

By which our Father blesses us.

We need to live with faith’s dedication

To be pleasing in God’s sight.

He will excite us by sharing His Spirit,

Arising from the resurrected, glorified Christ Jesus.

The Lord Jesus lived and died for this.

“ ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work’.” (John 4 v 34)

We must live to give honour to our Father

By reverently obeying His call to us,

Which is to believe in and follow Jesus,

Calling on the Spirit of holiness,

He who is the declaration of faith’s blessing

As the Spirit shares the holiness of Jesus with us.

The Spirit shows us the role of sacrifice,

And what it means to fear the Lord Almighty.

Cleansing, healing is found in the blood Jesus shed for us.

Jesus is the perfect sacrifice made on the †.

He is the mighty Saviour, our Redeemer.

“To give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins.” (Luke 1 v 77)

“Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

(Luke 1 v 78, 79)

Let us then pray with all praise and thanksgiving for the Lord Jesus healing our brokenness as, by the Holy Spirit, He shines the light of holy love upon us. Pray with thanksgiving for God’s deep, enduring love for us

and the forgiveness won for us by Christ Jesus, made real to us by the Holy Spirit of faith, He who helps us to pray both in times of joy and trial. May we be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, ever rejoicing to draw closer to Jesus, that we may wholeheartedly praise our Father and do this forever, rejoicing in the Lord Jesus’ gift of holiness. Amen.
